WEBVTT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK. MALLORY: THANKS. WAKE FOREST ATHLETICS IS HOLDING PINK WEEK AT TWO DEMON DEACON GAMES. WE HAVE OUR GUESTS HERE WITH US TO TALK ABOUT IT. WHAT IS PINK WEEK? WE ARE SHOWING OUR SUPPORT FOR EVERYONE GOING THROUGH THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER, SO IT WILL BE OUR GAME THIS TUESDAY AND SUNDAY. MALLORY: WHAT ARE THESE? >> BOTH GAMES, YOU CAN HAVE A CHANCE TO SHOW YOU WERE FIGHTING FOR WITH THESE CARDS. IT IS TUESDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY, SO THE IDEA IS ON TUESDAY THAT, WE WILL HAVE 30 CANCER SURVIVORS AND THEIR SUPPORT, A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND ON THE COURT. WE START WITH THEM AND THEN WE WILL HAND THE COLISEUM FOR ALL THE FANS WHO CAN WRITE IN WHO THEY ARE FIGHTING FOR. IT WILL BE IN THE MOMENT. MALLORY: WHAT AN AMAZING SIGHT. WHY’S IT SO IMPORTANT YOU HAVE THESE EVENTS THAT ARE SUPPORTIVE OF SURVIVORS OF FOR ANYONE? >> SOMETIMES, IT CAN BE A LONELY THING TO GO THROUGH A SOMETHING AS DIFFICULT AS THIS, AND WE WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW HOW MUCH WE SUPPORT THEM AND IT GOES UNIVERSITY WIDE, TEAMS, AND STUDENT ATHLETES AND THAT SORT OF THING. It’s Pink Week at Wake Forest University!
Wake Forest Athletics is partnering with Wake Forest Baptist Health to host two “Pink Week” basketball games this week.

The games will be held on February 5 and 10, 2019, at LJVM Coliseum. On February 5, the Deacon men will host Pittsburgh at 7:00 p.m. Fans should stop by the Wake Forest Baptist Health display and fill out a survivor card. Throughout the game, numerous cancer survivors will be recognized. After the presentation, DeaconVision cameras will scan the coliseum as fans hold up survivor cards.
Fans will also be able to sign up for imaging tests through Wake Forest Baptist Health during the men’s game.
On Sunday, February 10, the Wake Forest Women’s Basketball team will host Georgia Tech at 1:00 p.m. Fans who wear pink to the game will receive free admission. Guests are also encouraged to fill out survivor cards for on-court recognition.
