
MIAMI, Okla. — The Miami Public Library will host a diabetes nutrition course this month.
The courses will be from 10 a.m. to noon each Tuesday from Jan. 8 to Jan. 29 at the library. Kathy Enyart, extension educator, will teach the class. Topics to be covered include diabetic-friendly recipes, how to change eating habits and how to focus on good nutrition.
The event is part of the Health Literacy Project, a cooperative partnership of the Miami Public Library, Integris Miami Hospital, Northeastern Tribal Health Systems and Ottawa County Health Department. The Health Literacy Project is funded through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
