John Travolta is one proud bald-headed guy.
The 64-year-old and his new look made its first public debut after the actor revealed he has opted for a wigless life after hiding his hair loss for years.
The Saturday Night Fever actor took to the red carpet at Black Tie Gala at 3Labs in Culver City, California on 26 January.
And he looks electrifying. We don’t know if it’s new haircut – or lack off – or the brand new level of confidence that is multiplying, but it’s working for him.
Literally famed for his glossy locks in 1978’s Grease, the singer is definitely stepping into a new era as he matched his smoulder with a buttoned-down white shirt and black blazer.
The star shocked – yet delighted – fans earlier in January when he took to social media to give us all the first look of his glistening head top.
The actor celebrated winning over a million Instagram followers on 10 January, two days after unveiling a natural, hairless look after years of hiding his hair loss.
The Pulp Fiction star thanked fans for the support as he flashed another glimpse of his shaved head underneath a snapback while he took his son Ben dirt biking like the ultimate cool dad.
In a selfie video, John said: ‘We’re dirt biking today and we just got the great news that it’s hit over a million followers on Instagram. We love you, we thank you.
‘And, er, also thanks for liking the new hair ‘do.’
The Grease actor’s social media followers have shot up ever since he unveiled his new hairstyle on Monday in a picture from New Year’s Eve.
His post was met with compliments like ‘keep this look,’ ‘hot’, ‘more handsome than ever’ and our favourite ‘zaddy’ – so it’s safe to say that it went down very well with his admirers.
Pictured beside his 18-year-old daughter Ella, it was the first time that John had ever embraced his natural image since pictures of his receding hairline back in 2011 hinted that he may be wearing wigs and toupees.
Ever since then, the actor has been seen sporting a variety of hairpieces for roles including American Crime Story, I Am Wrath and The Forger and even switched up his hairstyles a number of times for public appearances.
Nevertheless, since going bald, John seems to be making a pretty strong case for salt and pepper facial fuzz, making up for anything lacking up top with a very slick beard and moustache.
Here’s to the evolution of John Travolta’s facial hair in 2019.
