Danniella Westbrook has checked into rehab in a last-ditch attempt to finally beat her drug addiction.
The former EastEnders star, 45, says she has agreed to undergo treatment for three months on the advice of her friend – TV presenter Jeremy Kyle.
In a post on Twitter , the actress confirmed she’s started 10 weeks of intensive treatment to help her get clean again.
She wrote: “The first day on a 10 week program which will change my life make me strong and give me the tools too never feel the way I’ve felt the last four years…
“I’m never looking back.”
Danniella went on to add that it was Jeremy Kyle who helped her make the decision to get help.
She explained: “For those of you asking my good mate Jezza had me on his show which is being aired in the morning & has kindly sent me 2 rehab for 3 months.
“I’m grateful & excited 2 have the chance 2 get the drug free life I had for 14years back.
“Thank u 4 ur support.”
Danniella’s candid interview with Jeremy Kyle will air tomorrow on his morning show.
She was spotted filming the episode on Monday.
It is a celebrity special edition of The Jeremy Kyle Show and also features actor-turned-reality star Paul Danan among others.
Danniella has spent years battling drug addiction and famously took so much cocaine part of her nose collapsed.
She spent many years clean before relapsing again and put her recent troubles down to a battle with osteoporosis, which made her face crumble.
The former soap star has undergone several surgeries to correct the damage, including having part of a rib inserted into her face to replace her crumbling cheekbone.
